Even the main character is terrified; "fear.....is like a hideous entity living inside me".A woman, Jessica Hudson, barely survives a horrible attempt on her life; when she is well, she buys a horse ranch outside Anchorage, Alaska. She was a prosecutor in New York; now she needs the peace and quiet of fostering neglected and abused horses. Imagine that you are going insane, knowing things that you shouldn't, horrible things are happening all around you; now that is the worst kind of nightmare! And one of the best stories that I have read! Well done!
Very good at keeping you on edge. Different from other of the author's work and worth thee price. You should enjoy the turned and twist and building excitement and intrigue.
Waking to a different time every day-confusing, hard to see a plot or reason to even write this book.
Author was obviously pleased with this book, but you just can't please everyone. Just ask any writer or politician. Or husband

Enjoyed but there was too much description of the time and the protagonist's thoughts. It was repetitive and confusing to me.
