It is very rare that someone can nail step by step instructions on how to succeed in business and now Jennifer Crittenden has done it for the second time with this book. I was honored to get an advance copy and have already put her advice to action.
Highly recommended for both men and women interested in rapid career growth.

Exceptional Presence is a book that gives advice. Normally, I'm not real big on advice -- but what this book contains is actually pretty sensible stuff. The author presents a series of principles and specific tactics that can help people develop their confidence in business and social situations by focusing on others. She provides a number of tools for realistic self-assessment as well as practical ways to approach the kinds of situations that can cause us to feel awkward. These aren't platitudes like "just go out there and be yourself", the author has taken the time to break down most typical business situations into their basic elements and to provide step-by-step guidance on the action that will create a polished, professional impression. Although the techniques are helpful as a refreshed for almost anyone, in my opinion they would be especially useful for those just coming into the workforce.
